A melodic covers band playing live throughout the East Midlands, Lazy Days are being regularly rebooked at all the venues they play - a testament to the quality and range of their set.

History

The early seeds of Lazy Days began life after a conversation between Shaun Coxon and Dave Orgill. They discovered that they both played guitar (one with two strings more than the other) and that in ancient times had played in separate bands with a drummer called Gary Burrows.

Shaun and Gary had played in a covers band called Echo and later Gaz had joined a new wave band called Scorch (early eighties) with whom Dave was Bassist.

Many years, bands, kids, pies and loss of hair later Dave and Shaun pulled Gaz out of drumming retirement. With Tony "The Voice" Butler an experienced and truly gifted sexy guy of a vocalist.(This has been said by the fans, not Tony, honest!!!!) and Christian Mulcahy, adding six more strings to the band, they were complete.
‘The Band’ aimed to play with as varied a set as possible, calling on their vast experience in all music genres. As anyone who has practised to perfect any performance will know, a lot of hard work, long hours and one or two cans of beer (oops), that it’s not all plane sailing.

We're not really lazy........

Since the departure of Christian, lead guitarist Shaun (aka Curly) gives the band a new dimension along with Dave Orgill, known as "FLUFFY" adding a punchy and distinctive bass line. Gary Burrows an exceptional drummer keeps the band in check. With this winning formula, Lazy Days now deliver what they set out to do and are seeking to improve all the time. Each performance is a display of controlled energy to entertain the most demanding of audiences.
