MATTHEW J SEPHTON-Pianist

Matthew been playing the piano since the age of 5.  At the age of 14 I began to perform publicly when I started to be in demand as an accompanist to various choirs and choral societies in the northwest of England.  Not long after this I started to perform at weddings, both for the ceremonies and for receptions following.

I currently both peform and teach and have played in various hotels across the northwest  as well as at various charity events at such places as golf clubs and restaurants, not to mention the splendour of  Knowsley Hall, the historic seat of the Earls of Derby.

The areas to which I am suited include hotel lounge entertainment, corporate/wedding drinks receptions, restaurant, piano bar.  My disposition is cheery and, without intrusion, I always aim to lend an air of peaceful, pleasant purpose as guests enjoy their occasion, whatever it may be.

I like my repertoire to be varied and am constantly updating the music I perform.  Songs from the shows are among my favourites, together with music from such artists as Elton John, Richard Clayderman, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkle, Frank Sinatra, Rod Stewart and many more.
