SAMARKAND ....are a group of musicians with years of experience performing to a wide range of audiences across the UK and the Continent. The nucleus of the band were former NEW FACES finalists back in good old 1974 under the name YAKETY YAK and went on to work professionally all over Britain and Germany. After several incarnations and career changes the band reformed in a semi-professional capacity in 2002 and continues to work now in the Midlands. We entertain a variety of crowds from pubs, private functions and clubs to much larger venues.
